About The Park Cafe and Grocery
The Park Café and Grocery is a small family owned business located in St. Mary, Montana near the east entrance of Glacier National Park. Saint Mary is the east end of the scenic “Going to the Sun Road.” The Road winds its way over the continental Divide and through the park high up in the mountains. Glacier Park is full of scenic views and beautiful mountains. The east side of the park has some of the best hiking, camping, and fishing spots around.
The Park Cafe and Grocery was founded and built from the ground up by Ed and Helen Hilton and first opened its doors for business in 1952. Helen and Ed worked each season to make the Park Café and Grocery what it is today. Ed and Helen are my grandparents and are wonderful people with big hearts and a passion for the Park Café, its patrons, and its amazing employees.
Our business includes the Park Café, Park Grocery, Park Gift Store, and gas station. We are best Known for our friendly service, our delicious food, a family-like atmosphere, and our famous pies. I would like to give my profound thanks to our patrons who stop by every season! Without you the Park Cafe wouldn't be what it is today. Our family at the Park Cafe appreciate your business and hope that you are finding all the fun and adventure to be found here in Glacier National Park!
About Our Season
Seasonal and Local
The Park Cafe opens its doors for the summer season in early June and closes for the season in mid September. The grocery store opens near the end of May. The reason for our seasonality are the winters in our area which is the reason many businesses at the east side of Glacier Close for the winter season. Summer in Glacier is beautiful and is the best time to plan for the trip of a lifetime! We look forward to seeing you this coming summer season!
